Croatia has seen increases of 100-150% in the last few years and prices are likely to rise again.
There are however risks involved. I can back this up with personal experience.
The process isnt as safe as in the UK and you will find that you must never believe everything agents and/or sellers in Croatia tell you.
For example in my case a seller (a large private company) decided not to sell an apartment after I had paid the deposit. I am now pursuing them to get the initial deposit paid back along with an extra 10% as per the contract they signed. You learn from the experience . Be warned.
If you are buying ensure that the initial deposit is paid to the lawyer or an escrow company so you can easily get it back if the seller changes their mind (for any reason).
I still however recommend Croatia as a good investment. You just need to make sure you are extra careful and have a good lawyer.
